Personal Trainer Price in Oslo – What Does Personal Training Cost?
Many people considering personal training want to know what it costs. In Oslo, personal training typically ranges between 800 and 1500 NOK per session.

What does a personal trainer cost in Oslo?

Many people who consider personal training first want to know what it actually costs. At the same time, there is rarely a single clear answer, because the level of coaching is usually tailored to the individual.

In Oslo, the price of personal training often ranges from roughly 800 to 1500 NOK per session, depending on the trainer’s experience, the level of support provided, and where the training takes place.

For many people, personal training is not just about a single workout session, but about building structure, progression, and continuity in training over time.

If you are unsure whether personal training might be right for you, you are always welcome to get in touch for a short, no-obligation conversation about what might make sense in your situation. You can also read more about how I work with personal training here.

What affects the price of personal training?

Several factors influence the cost of personal training.

For example, the price may vary depending on:

  • How often you train together
  • How long the collaboration lasts
  • How much support you want between sessions
  • The trainer’s experience and professional background

For some people, personal training means a weekly session over a period of time. For others, it may involve more occasional guidance or a more comprehensive coaching process over a longer period.

The length of the sessions

When comparing the cost of personal training, it is also important to consider how long the sessions actually are. Different trainers work with different formats, and a “session” does not necessarily mean the same thing everywhere.

Some trainers offer 60-minute sessions, while others work with shorter or longer formats. Naturally, the length of each session will also influence the price.

In my studio, I primarily work with 40- or 50-minute sessions. For many people, this works well within a busy schedule while still allowing enough time to train with proper structure, technique, and progression.

At the same time, I am open to adjusting both the session length and the format if needed.

Personal training in a private studio

Training in a private studio often provides a different environment than training in a large commercial gym. Many people find that a calmer setting and a stronger focus on individual coaching make it easier to work systematically with technique, progression, and structure.

How I work with personal training

In my PT studio near Bryn and Høyenhall in Oslo, I work with individually tailored training programs. The goal is to create a training process that is realistic to maintain over time and that fits both your goals and the life you actually live.

If you are curious about my background and approach to coaching, you can read more about me here.

For that reason, I do not offer standardized packages with fixed prices. Each collaboration is tailored to the individual, and the price will therefore vary.

The pricing generally follows the market level for personal training in Oslo, but depends on factors such as the scope of the collaboration and how frequently we train together.
